Fee Options

Firstly, we will provide a free consultation prior to taking on your matter. During the consultation we will discuss our initial view of your matter, further information that we need from you, fee arrangements and anything else that you need in order to ascertain whether you wish to pursue the matter and engage our services.

We understand that the legal industry is notorious for inflating costs. We offer fixed-fee arrangements for certain services to provide our clients with certainty and to avoid any nasty surprises. During our free initial consultation, we will provide you with any fixed fee arrangements tailor-made to your matter.

We offer a unique service at Dark Legal called On Call Retainer, where we undertake predetermined legal services and answer any queries that you may have for a fixed fee that can be paid by direct debit monthly, quarterly or annually.

When you enter into our On Call Retainer, we guarantee that we will:

• call you back within 4 hours to answer any questions that you have;
• not charge you anything in excess of your retainer; and
• pay all disbursements including searches, couriers, printing etc (which the exception of expert and barrister fees).

The On-Call Retainer offers predictability and surety to our clients. It affords us the ability to proactively understand your business and become invested in your success.

We understand that legal fees can be expensive and hurt the budget, especially when issues come out of the blue. We offer instalment arrangements, much like Afterpay or Zip.
